A Star is Born
On March 25, 2008, University Director of Business Diversity, Lorretta Gurnell presented the annual "Business Diversity Star Award" to Nathan Smith in recognition of contracts awarded in the period 2007-2008. Lynn Mimms, Business Diversity Coordinator, announced that Nathan's awards to MBE/WBE Businesses accounted for 68% of the accumulative contracts awarded on all IU campuses. This is the second year in a row that this award has gone to an IUPUI Purchasing staff member. The 2006-2007 award recognized the efforts of Pam Copenhaver for her contracts made with MBE/WBE Businesses.
